JSL Overcharged Shipping Fee
Wondering why you're unable to access the Jompilih Seller Center? This may be due to an issue with overcharged shipping fees.
What is Overcharged Shipping Fee?
An overcharged shipping fee occurs when the shipping cost charged by the logistics partner exceeds the fee calculated by the Jompilih system. This is based on either the actual weight or the volumetric weight—whichever is higher.
How does this happen?
The discrepancy between the shipping fee charged by the logistics partner and the fee calculated by Jompilih may arise for several reasons:
1. Seller didn't input the weight and dimension of the parcel
Jompilih calculates shipping fees based on actual or volumetric weight (whichever is higher). If the seller leaves the weight or dimensions empty in the product listing, this will likely result in an overcharged shipping fee.
2. Seller inputs the incorrect weight and dimension of the parcel
When an incorrect weight/dimension is input (e.g. not factoring in the packaging into the weight/dimension), the shipping fee calculated by Jompilih system would also be incorrect.
The logistics partner will use the volumetric weight (6.6kg) for billing, which is higher than Jompilih’s calculation, leading to an overcharge.
What you can do to avoid overcharge?
- Ensure all necessary fields, such as product dimensions and weight, are filled in correctly to avoid miscalculation.
- Double-check that the weight and dimensions account for packaging to ensure accurate shipping fees.
